What is the difference between new 8K+ and 8KX Vision?

From what I can get from the 24.09.2019 livestream the only difference between new 8KX Vision and 8K+ Vision is the ability of 8KX to bypass the scaler. Both models are using the same housing, screens and lenses, but the electronics are different.

Is the 8K+ scaler is different from the scaler installed in 8KX? Because of this is the only way the scaler can be bypassed in 8KX but not in 8K+.

If they are the same then what is the reason to have 8K+ and why 8KX price is $300 more? is it very expensive chip?

One uses a 2560 x 1440p input signal and upscaler chip, the other accepts up to native 3840 x 2160p. You can pass it a 1440p signal and it will upscale, but then it is essentially running as an 8k+.
