This seems interesting, VR treadmills seems like a horrible but relatively safer option. Teleportation locomotive are getting boring but if you ask that i literally “RUN” 50 meters to reach 50 meters in VR, then i guess all nerds/geeks will be buffed gym enthusiast in 5 years (not going to happen).
I wonder if this would even work. Also i am quite certain most of the people in this forum knows or at least had at sometime before ever watched 1 episode of the guy handling the project.
Looks interesting be great to see the final release.
What do you guys think is the best option/solution for moving in vr that has been built so far?
I guess it’s the Infinadeck. Infinadeck Omnidirectional Treadmill Hands on at CES 2016 - YouTube
Unfortunately it’s not ready yet. Directions are changed manually (not adapted by your movement).
The Vortex VR shoe also sounds great, but I don’t know if it will ever work like described.
How much the infinadeck would cost?
Is it affordable for regular consumers ?
