Not really news but the web browsing experience can be upgraded(?) by forcing your preferred color scheme on pages as long as it doesn’t break them (too much).
I’ve usually stuck to simple white on black converters but plugins like midnight lizard* allow a lot of customization.
Just a few clicks and you’ll browse the web just like Sam Fisher for example at the mere cost of a few cpu cycles.
Scientific studies say that white on black is the most legible, but when has science ever been right?
*midnight lizard has made it to the chrome and firefox repositories, but if it steals your child’s 4th birthday pictures or worse, I am not responsible. Also youtube required disabling scrollbar styling for full screen mode.
