Hi there, i just bought the pimax 4k and wanted more precisions on how my system will run it,
i will use the pimax for racing sims and watching movies
systems specs :
Ryzen 5 1600x
1070 ti
16gb ram
i know i can run it i want to know if it will be butter smooth or lack of fps and lastly i wnated to know if i can take my pimax 4k on vacation to watch movies and only movies on my little laptop with a pentium n4200 with intel hd 505 if it runs movies good for me if not then nevermind
Laptop will not work out if you don’t have a descrete gpu in it I think.
The PC will handle everything smoothly that you throw at it. Just remember that the SS slider in SteamVR doesn’t do anything for image quality in the 4K, use the slider in the PiPlay software to do that. I have about the same pc specs (got a i5 8600K instead) and I run SteamVR SS on 0.7 and PiPlay slider on max without a hitch. Even tweaked colours/brightness etc via Nvidia control panel (you can adjust that if you set the Pimax 4K in video mode (extended) first, after that just put it back in pimax mode (direct) and settings will save).
some news here for now the pimax works fine just one thing i have to put it down on my face to have clear image like really down it push my nose it’s uncumfortable to wear it that way any tip for adjusting this ?
