That makes me feel better since im 3020 or somewhere close to that #
in addition, how many weeks will it take (from start of production) to reach âfull production outputâ. Iâm backer 6000+ so this question is relevant to folks like myselfâŚso weâll see.
Keep in min # of backers doesnât necessarily = no of headsets. Some might have fone the $5 pledge.
yea I know man, keep the faith right This recent beta testers tease is both a curse and a blessing ha.
I hope that the 10 testers give the Green Light to Pimax and then start the mass production soon.
It would be wonderfull to receive my 8K before July XD (Iâm backer #69, so I hope mine will be in the first batch )
Also bear in mind that some may have opted to have their HMD shipped at the same time as the base station and controllers, so theyâll be right at the back of the queue. Suddenly my 5000+ number doesnât seem so bad :D.
Right, I donât think that was a popular option though, so youâre probably now 4997 in the queue.
Pimax has said: the first weeks will produce a few hundred but in the end they will reach 1000 a week.
Please show us where they said that.
Sorry, far less and not so sure.

Thats true SWATâŚi opted for headset first and other parts later since i have viveâŚ
I think they SaĂŻd they would ship the headsets first, and the bases and controllers latterâŚ
It was an option in the backer survey, you could opt to receive the HMD, controllers and lighthouses at the same time, or get the HMD first and the other parts when theyâre ready. For people like me that have the HTC Vive we can use the 8K straight away without needing to wait for the extras.
When they asked if you opt to receive the HMD, controllers and lighthouses at the same time, or get the HMD first and the other parts when theyâre ready ?

[/quote]Yes it was one of the questions in the survey that was sent out to all of the 8K backers. To quoteâŚ
Q) Our estimated shipping date for controllers and base stations start from April, whereas headset being shipping from January 2018. Would you prefer to:
A) Receive the HMD as soon as possible, and the controllers and base stations from April
OK so the April deadline has come and gone, but I should still get my 8K headset first, which is fine for me as I already have a Vive, v1 lighthouses and controllers, then when Pimax release their own controllers and lighthouses theyâll ship them to me separately (at which point my brother will inherit the Vive).
My oldest son gets my viveâŚas long as he he keeps his grades up at RITâŚ
So you are keeping your Pimax 8k ALL TO YOURSELFâŚ
I have feeling once my son Austin tries pimax he will want one but he is 5 hrs away in Rochester so vive vr for him is better then no vrâŚlol
& us old timers need an edge on the young. Lol
Lol, i thought I was the only dad who kept the best toys for himself⌠my son gets my hand me down graphics cards too
True. Very true. How else we old people going to enjoy things of tomorrow?
