Anyone in the UK that has recieved their 8KX can you tell me what you were charged in taxes please?

I had a Plan A deal which totalled 650,- euros. I wonder which amount I’m going to have to pay 21% over in the Netherlands.
Also, would have been great if they’d put a warehouse in one of those 7% countries and ship inside the EU to the tax hungry countries.

no i upgraded and had a pimax voucher so it came to $800. Just checked on a duty calculator website and it says it should be half what i’ve been told using the HS code 9504509100

well they called me and i told them the value and sent them the SO with the price so they shouldn’t be. It’s due for delivery on friday so we’ll see what happens but i’m not paying £321 that’s for sure!

The invoice which comes with the box is usually smaller than the actual pledge, so the tax was less as well. Smth like 187 euros (in Estonia), which is actually more than what I expected.
Usually I ask for original papers from FedEx and learn from there what I have to match.

I’ll see if i can get a digital copy of the invoice, although I sent the SO which has the value. We’ll see, it may very well be heading back to china this time next week!

Got my Pimax about a week ago!
I got the Valve index controllers first and 5 days later i got the headset.
Fedex told me i needed to give them prove of the value of the item and the Airwaybill number!
Had to open a ticket about this.
I finally got my first delivery without any prove or anything!
Second delivery needed to prove again the value of the items.
Open a ticket again with no success.
Finally got my second delivery without any problems!
28/9/2020 got duty and tax invoice ;
Advancement fee; £12
Original VAT; £91.95
Subtotal GBP; £103.95
I didn’t mind paying it but it was the fact that they wanted prove of what the cost of the item was
what was worrisome.
I really thought that everything was going to get stuck i customs and sent back to Shanghai.

I received my 8kx plan a upgrade last week.
I’m in the UK & to my pleasant surprise it turned up at my door with no tax bill at all.
With accessory vouchers i also used, it cost me less than £500 for the actual purchase.
It is still possible I will get a tax bill through the post as i have done in the past, but got my fingers crossed that mine somehow slipped through.

London, no tax bill. Guess I lucked out
Not sure if it would matter for tax, but it was ‘discounted’ because I got the controllers refunded against it waaay back

Looks the same as what I had, I can’t comment on the tax request stage as I didn’t get one.
The next thing after clearance from Stansted was that it arrived at a local London depot, then on to the van, and out for delivery. All of which happened the following day.

So after a bit of investigative work I noticed that the shipment was realised before i had sent the email confirming the value to GSTClearance, so i’m guessing they’ve applied the website value in UK pounds rather than $. Fingers crossed!
