So the testers will have a huge list of things to test, tinker, evaluate and review on.
There are obvious things to test like SDE, Moire, IPD, fatigue, ergonomics and software etc so don’t mention the obvious things that these industry pro’s already know about but is there some secret sauce that could be beneficial that you can share?
Maybe a scientific quality test that you know works for DSLR lenses that could be applied to VR lenses?
Maybe a set of images URL’s that help highlight defects in an LCD screen?
Maybe highly rated and free calibration images you know of?
Or maybe you are an expert on ergonomics and can offer professional tell-tale signs to look for.
You may even know some Windows tweaks that could help.

This could also be really helpful because if there is a measurable test or calibration routine that all testers can compare against then they/we would know if there is any variance between each testers HMD. Something that can happen when producing lenses.
I cannot think of any tests outside of the norm. I am most concerned with nausea on flight and driving games. But am also keenly interested in other general information like measured FOV, SDE review, brightness and contrast. Heat buildup, how well do the default straps work, comfort and other normal concerns you would expect.
I will give you the test of tests. if the testers do not do this they have failed me deeply. It is a scenario i don’t see in their testing facility. a lot of companies test for humidity. but dont test for condensation.
2 hours of audioshield in a cold room at hard difficulty or above.
It is the worst case scenario for condensation generation inside the headset , as the headset seals a small volume of air and the exertion rapidly brings that space well over the point that condensation will occur due to the humidity in that space contacting any internal surface cooled by having a thin wall to outside world (like sides of vive headset).
Bonus points if you do it on last day of testing and go significantly longer than 2 hours/ until unit breaks.
When I downloaded it through Steam it appeared that the latest version hadn’t been uploaded. It appears that the latest version is the Unreal standalone version (link in the Steam comments). Haven’t gotten around to trying the standalone, so I can’t be sure.
