see — no reason for all the hurry
… must resist…
… Can resist… So far…
… Who am I kidding… If it’s 50% faster, I’ll go for it at some point anyway… Every bit counts.
don’t forget
… and in pancake mode only
I don‘t want to know what prices the Nvidia marketing guys would come up with if they had a twice as fast card at hands.
Ok, probably they‘d say — are you crazy, let‘s hold that card back for the next gen and throttle it down to 75% of it‘s performance for now – 50% more has to be enough for one generation…
We will see for sure tomorrow, but given the specs that are leaked, the 3080 is shaping to be an absolutely ridiculous jump over generations. I’m not too old, with my first gpu being an 8800GTS 320mb… but this may be the biggest jump I’ve seen on paper. Not just trying to be excited, I hardly need a new gpu.
Consider how much better the 2000 series is than the 10 series per cuda core. 2070 super in modern titles does just about as well as the 1080 ti. 2070 super -2,304 cores. 1080 ti - 3584 cores.
When I see the 3080 at 4,352 much more efficient and powerful cores, phew. thats fast if you ask me. I fully expect 4k 144hz to become the norm with these high end cards
Slide I saw said in the bottom right corner “DLSS enabled” so could just be DLSS improvement, rather than native 4k with ray tracing
Looks like the official info has dropped guys
display port 1.4 confirmed

claims are 35-50% faster than 2080Ti
Canadian dollar actually trading better than I expected, was expecting it to blow past $2K
still too expensive. Although if I sell my 5k+ and my 2080Ti that should just about cover it.
I really wish that UFD Tech guy would tone down his thumbnail facial expressions…
It kinda makes me think twice about watching his videos which is kinda silly as he’s actually good at what he does…
lol look in the comments thats the first thing i said. go give me a thumbs up
its funnt because does it remind you of anyone?
Haha…
Yeah, I’ve actually said it a long time ago, but to begin with I thought SweViver was annoying but he really grew on me and his enthusiasm and drive impresses me… Go figure…
Maybe it’s the lack of hair?
it’s funny look at the date on that last one. It really hasnt been that long ago 2080Ti was the rage
Me and my bank account are using a very, very short buffer for temporary data like “…now when did I use an insane amount on a ROG Strix 2080 Ti OC?”
I always justify using money on gear (any of it actually) by thinking about how much other people use for entertainment like concerts, going to the movies etc. It quickly adds up (but maybe not that quickly)…
yeah, my friend who refuses to even buy a quest because its too expensive blows $1700 a year traveling to resorts for vacation for a week.
Exactly. Who needs that when You’ve got VR?
The kids You say? Huh? Who?
I have kids ? well wadda you know, I do and they are apparently 7 and 9, damn VR eats up time.
I hope those prices are not right though…
ROG Strix 3090 ~ 2700 USD…
I don’t even want to begin to think about the cost in EU then…
Fresh video from Gamer Meld:
Probably obvious to most, PCIe 4.0 will require at least a mainboard upgrade. But fortunately it’s compatible with 3.0 and the extra bandwidth isn’t required for gaming.
These cards are a data scientist’s wet dream, fortunately I’ve still got a spare kidney.
Edit: 3.0 compatible
Yeah my reasoning is that I no longer go to the pub or out for meals
£1500/3 years = £10 per week and you can still sell it for £500 after so it’s really about £1 per day.
I should be a graphics card salesperson
Plus, if rumors are to be believed, look at how much money you will save on your heating bill!
or a bitcoin miner. Lol
