but everytime my vision nicks to the left site :frowning:
i didnt found any solution (insteat of bying an basestation … )

btw - someone know how much will cost the pimax basestaions ?
just one

You might want to do the Room Setup in PiTool again. It sounds like your headset might not be properly initialized.

I’m not sure what Pimax is charging for a single base station. I’m not sure that they will even offer it as a single unit. You can buy version 1 HTC base stations from Amazon (and probably other places). I bought a new one from Amazon back in January, but you might be able to find a used one cheap. The version 2 base stations are now available. I think that’s the more versatile option, since you can use it with the new controllers (either the ones from Valve or from Pimax).

Here’s a link to Amazon (for comparison). The version 1 bs is $135 and the version 2 is $200 US. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=htc+base+station+2.0

@SweViver plays DCS, so he might know of a solution to your issue, which might not involve buying a base station.

It’s the other way round.

You can use any accessory/headset with v1 basestations, but can only use V2 accessories/headsets with V2 basestations.

edit: shortened the quote to be more precise what was not correct

no, that’s wrong
you can use knuckles/index controllers with v1 basesations
what does not work is old hmd/controller (v1 like vive and vive wands) with new v2 basestations
(in v2 basestations sync ir flash is missing, v2 does sync on signal itself, the ir laser signal contains the information from what basestation its comming, v1 sensors do not support sync on signal and will not work for that reason with v2 basestations, but v2 sensors like in the index controller do support both and will work with v1 and v2 basestations)

You’re absolutely right. Sorry… :+1::wink:

Must have been confused for a moment there… :astonished:

For all those that might be confused:

  • Good - v1 sensors and v1 basestations
  • Good - v2 sensors and v1 basestations
  • Bad - v1 sensors and v2 basestations
  • Good - v2 sensors and v2 basestations

v1 examples - OG Vive/wands/basestations, older Trackers, older accessories
v2 examples - Vive Pro/basestations, Knuckles controllers, Index, newer accessories

If you have average needs, then the v1 basestations are your safest bet. There is no guarantee that any headsets/accessories you have/buy are going to have v2 sensors, so a v2 basestation might not work for you. The main advantages of the v2 basestations are their lower price, (hopefully) better reliability, and larger play area (since more v2 basestations can be used together).

You are aware that that was exactly what I was trying to say, right?

“You can use any accessory/headset with v1 basestations” - You both wrote that too, just with a lot more words…

“but can only use V2 accessories/headsets with V2 basestations.” - This part should have been written differently like so: “with V2 basestations, You can only use V2 accessories/headsets”

Anyway, I believe we have it covered now…

He said just that. :point_up_2:

To make it sure: V1 bases: good for all V2 bases :good for V2
