Hi there,
I found a resource where someone got SteamVR working in Extended Mode… however, the video has no audio and is on a Chinese machine…I did find some info on Reddit.
Long story short, I wanted to post these two resources hear to see if anyone has gotten it to work.
So far, even with the modifications they suggested I am stuck getting OSVR to recognize my Pimax.
Video (Where he uses the concept with a Pimax 4K HMD):
I will let you know if I get the last piece working… please let me know i you have had success.
If we get it working in Extended Mode at 1440p it would be so great! It would essentially mean we were able to double SteamVRs current resolution.
Thanks for mentioning the video I uploaded. And I am Korean.
I made it easy for anyone to follow the video, but it seems that I can not communicate well as I intended.
I bought OSVR HDK 1.4 before Pimax 4K and now I am using both.
I bought a Pimax 4K with various test plans, which are related to OSVR. The ultimate goal is to add position tracking to two products. I am enjoying various tests thanks to it, but now I am enjoying the fun VR experience by connecting PSMove.
I’ve posted the results on YouTube and will continue to add them. And I look forward to hearing good news from you.
I don’t know if I managed to do the same thing, but I edited the Pimax display profile in CRU from 1080p to 1440p. Seems like it’s running at a higher resolution, but I’m not sure.
