I have been searching through the threads and determined the safe mode was initially the issue. Kept going through a crash loop so I did what was recommended in this thread: https://community.openmr.ai/t/steam-blocking-pimax-5k-in-safe-mode/26402
This was after re-installing the entirety of steam. I don’t want to have to reinstall steam every time I want to play.
While this worked for a bit, after restart the games no longer boot up from steamvr even though the addon’s are no longer blocked by SteamVR’s addon. The game will only launch once steamvr closes and pops up in the desktop instead of the headset.
Steam home launches in the headset, but when trying to boot up a game it’s just doesn’t launch unless I exit steamVR.
Everything on my PiTool is default and it was working a few months ago just fine. SteamVR update seems to have ruined this. I’m at wits end about to cave and buy a damn quest 2 just to play.
