@PimaxVR @Matthew.Xu,

I think you should create a setup of all the information about the Pimax 8K and publish it as a PDF. I love PDF-s and I assure you, that many people love it as well. That form of communication lets us get all the needed information in an easily accessible way and seems very professional at once. Of course it must be well-designed (if you don’t know anybody who does that, I recommend myself :smiley:).

Also, I think all the information should be priorly presented in English. Including your website. After opening the pimaxvr.com, I should see an English version of the website. You could set the English language as the main one, but u can also install an PHP script that will check whether the visitor is Chinese or non-Chinese speaking person. Chinese person gets a Chinese website, and non-Chinese person gets an English version of the website (the website right now also isn’t too well designed, so if you wish, I could redesign it :)).)

The communication with your customers is very important and you should define them as an international society, which language obviously is English and who loves good design, as good design shows that you are professional and, at once, it shows that you care about your customers.

Best regards :slight_smile:

Even if they were a startup (which they are not)… I wouldn’t expect start ups to do that either… What business no matter how big or small are going to list the cons of their own product…

As for the website suggestion… How many English facing sites auto redirect to a non english version… (or even have a non english version) ? Not that many.

AndrewB, Pimax is a Chinese company, and they have already presented information in English clear enough for the discerning reader.

If you go to the Pimax site, its already in English. Pimax is selling HMDs all around the world. Why does English deserve special treatment beyond what the company has already provided?

As long as Pimax delivers a solid product, thats all anyone can ask of them.

This company has dine very well asking the community for advice, in reaching out to reviewers, etc.

You say international language is “Obviously English.” Maybe in terms of advertising, but in terms of business, Chinese is fast becoming more prominent, so whats wrong with a Chonese Company having a default Chinese site?

I think it would be enough to set the English version as default, because the most target, I suppose, are not the Chinese language users. Still, I think that if Pimax wish to communicate with the Chinese language audience on that same level as with the international customers, they could install the already mentioned PHP redirection mechanism. Such a change is needed if we want the Pimax’s website to use the user-centered design, which we accomplish by anylising the users’ experience. We need the user-centered design if we care for the clients and their time. We can achieve the best effects with our website by using a good analytics engine, which would show us what is the place in which users resign to browse our website, so what are the spots in our website in which they got annoyed. Aesthetics is an additional thing to the thing which is the most important. And the most important is the core. What I find important to improve on the website is both the core and aesthetics.

How do you know? Besides, right now, they are developing a new product and it is always a moving target and since Chinese is probably their language it seems quite reasonable to not waste resources on translations while the things are not yet solid. I believe they will provide English info once they have the product released.

I hope they will. But in general I think that they should set a different way of communication for they marketing.

Your ip provider already will try to guide searches to your native tongue if available. Plus just with having this forum between staff & users there is a ton of support in English. :beers::wink::+1::sparkles::tada:

@risa2000 indeed and asva community we can help out where possible. There is one fellow who is for example making a German translation file for Piplay for fellow german users.

agree, It should be a good way. We may add to our actionlist.:slight_smile:
