Space Junkies anyone?

I read a fairly favourable review of Ubisoft’s new AAA game. I’m interested in hearing thoughts from Pimax users who have tried it.

I’ve tried it, but couldn’t get Vive wands to work. So… Visuals looked very blurry and kinda low-res. But i haven’t had the opportunity to tweak, cause it wanted mixed reality controllers and i couldn’t provide those.

Never tried it on pimax, but tried a recent beta from late last yearish.

It’s very generic plane Jane vanilla super entry level vr. Mechanics are gentle, which is good for a vr “noob arena shooter-noobs in space”.

The controls are extremely slow. There’s no running from someone really.

Other people are hard to see.

Zero g is being pushed as a novelty I feel like, as I feel like it doesn’t really add anything to the combat except make it clunky.

I want Ubisoft to be successful, because it almost seems like they’re trying to woo vr users because the game has nice visuals and superficial appeal. Listen to your momma Ubisoft, it’s whats on the inside that counts the most. Although, yeah, they def made the game look pretty, and it does actually have some nice interaction for a vr game.

Ok thanks for the feedback, it doesn’t make me want to splash out £33! I am still holding out for a AAA shooter with a story-driven campaign that can be played cooperatively with a friend. Arizona Sunshine has been the closest I have seen so far but that was far from AAA and even further in the past! Where are all the AAA VR games?! Oh well back to Assetto then…
