Some Very High Resolution Stereo 3D 360 degree Ansel shots that I took in Battlefront 2

Looks very clear across the whole FOV (known distortion at the edge of 170 aside). I think it goes to show that a lot of our (my) issues today are simply down to the source resolutions not being high enough in the first place / rather than the head-set resolution not being high enough

Yeah, definitely, I figured they would look very good. To get really high quality picture on high FOV with conventional affordable lenses requires insane supersampling.

Did you try the monoscopic image? I’m wondering if people can still notice any depth on the monoscopic image.

I’m trying to convince pimax that a monoscopic rendering mode (rendering only 1 image instead of stereo, at higher resolution) would be better for their current headsets to achieve the best quality possible across all hardware configs.

Those images are as high as 8000x8000 pixels for some of them, and huge in size.

Yes, the monoscopic still retains a level of depth – sounds like a great mode addition

Hey @vrgamerdude you should check out these 360 Ansel shots I made in your 5K+. They are all very high resolution. Give them a look, and give a read to the thread.
