[Solved] Problem with low resolution on one eye 5K+

Hi I reinstalled windows 10 on my computer a couple of days ago.
No when I´m trying to play Subnautica I do get different resolutions on each eye, one eye is looking good with a high resulution. The other eye does have a realy low resulution.

I´m also having problem in steam vr home where it renders every thing inside of 110degre corectly but outside its low resulution. its realy desturbing.

Is there any body else with the same problems or is there a fix for it?

Sorry for bad English.

Might be caused by having Fixed Foveated Rendering (FFR) enabled in PiTool.

Some games exhibit this behaviour if it’s enabled and their game engine doesn’t support it.

Actually, that exactly how FFR works… :wink:

Thanks alot! Can’t understand why I havent tried to turn FFR off… need to spend some more time to learn what all settings do apparently.

You’re welcome… :wink:

Actually, You’re the second person that asks about this today (the other one was on Reddit /r/Pimax), so maybe a short intro video about PiTool features might be an idea.

Only “issue” is features are added rather frequently so videos would have to be updated regularly.

Maybe a short explanation of each feature/setting should be part of or at least linked to from the PiTool download page? :wink:

@Alex.liu

EDIT: Just noticed that there are a few features mentioned but a link to an actual user guide might be useful (personal preference would be a wiki style page instead of a downloadable document for obvious reasons):

Haha I should have googled it a bit more then.

Indeed that would help. Would be nice to also have a link from the help section in pitool maybe instead of the link to the manual.

Good idea… :+1:

Alex is the software manager and is in charge of PiTool @ Pimax… :wink:
