I see that in some games.
blue flickering comes up for me after a while in fall out 4 VR
Yeah i have that without PP. With PP on its practically gone.
I also dislike the flickering when looking at LOD distance. Mountains and distance weather fog and clouds. Its like complete meshes flickering like silver planes or sth. Very annoying.
But the other flickering i pretty much have that under control now with ENB settings. balancing between sharpening, blurring and antialiasing settings.
I was under the impression that the blue flickering on the edges of the display were caused by BrainWarp (Smart Smoothing) and not PP.
But you guys are playing Skyrimvr with the Parallel Projection off? Or on?
It’s a quantum question which means everybody plays at the same time on ON & OFF
Was my question hard to understand? Sorry I’m feeling a bit slow today
No i just made a developper / geek joke
In Quantum computer, Bits aren t just binaries 0 or 1 . They now are either, 0 or 1 or at the same time 0 and 1 ^^
For your answer just read @ Sallwitz message of March 27 at 9am
Yes, i’m here yah, it’s like @armanious said, when he pointed to what i said, it’s a kinda not so black&white like easy decision.
Right now i’m using this mod setup for the Pimax 5K+ with TAA off and tweak everything else in the ENB directly. If you’re interested in the proces and fiddling around with ENB yourself i could go into specifics and be happy to answer any questions modding related.
But if i would own a more powerful gpu, or Parallel Projections in general would be more of a no-brainer, i’d love to just leave it on and don’t give a shanana.
Skyrim VR ultra modded is a beautiful beast on the Pimax, but the pancake SE version still is miles ahead fidelity-wise (even with the exact same modding setup).
I find it very interesting that the VR immersion in general is at the same time breathtaking as it is disillusioning, because it breaks so many engine secrets. The beautiful textures look stunning, but at the same time you realize its just a simple mesh that gives you the impression of standing in it.
In Fallout 4VR i have the feeling of standing in a ton of artificially arranged and painted cardboard meshes, while at the same time i can have the impression of being right there in the nuclear wasteland. Thats VR for me. A very interesting immersion dilemma with a new fascinating digital medium.
Or simply put: I play SE if i get too tired to hold the sword and shield.
cheers
Thanks, I think I’ll kust keep the pp on and suffer a bit of the performance hit. I’m not using so many mods.
A better GPU ? what do you play with?
1080Ti with 8700 and 32RAM but i think its enough atm. I won’t go for the 2080Ti right now. The little more fun isn’t worth the price tag. It’d be interesting though if more VRAM could do the trick for modding. But i like how the Pimax is handling low framerates already. I mean i play with ~30 fps and even without motion smoothing its absolutely playable.
yeah as long as you keep ~2880 vertical resolution in steamVR, it looks good with PP and costs the same as without @2880. Without PP its sharper @2880 though and you can push the ingame ss.
Try for yourselves.
I do have blue edges in interior cells ingame sometimes. without brainwarp and without pp.
Not sure if you mean flickering edges or blue edges. But i can’t pin the blue edges to brainwarp alone.
i made a few screens how it looks with pinnacle ENB and obsidian. Especially sharpness and edge-wise. over here on the content forum.
