Power: be quiet! Dark Power Pro P11 650 Watt
CPU: Intel® Core™ i7 6700k 5000 MHz
RAM: 2x Kingston HyperX KHX2666C15D4 / 8Gb (2666mhz)
MB: ASUS Sabertooth Z170
Video: Inno3D GeForce GTX 1080
SAMSUNG SSD 830 Series 128gb
Samsung SSD 840 EVO 500GB

I’m still using a very old i7 950 CPU
12GB of DDR3 RAM
GTX 1080

SteamVR Performance results below.

New Build.

PC 1 W10 Pro

CPU: i5-6500 stock
Cooler: Stock though have aftermarket one2 install
MEM: 16gig DDR4 2400mhz (2x8gig G.Skill)
GPU: GV-R939G1 GAMING-8GD(R9 390/REV 1.0)
MB: Z170N-GAMING 5 (REV 1.0)
STORAGE: Adata SP900 512gb (SSDD)
PSU: Silverstone SFX-500-LG
CASE: Silverstone ML08B-H
GAMING Controllers: SteamController, Logitech F710(sp?), Razer Hydra, PS3 & WII(available)

Had to order special flex cable for usb 3.0 header for after market cooler. For this case i have 2 options for cpu cooler shuriken (don’t remember model have to find it) other cooler i beleive is Deepcool Gemini (has roman helmet) both are low profile.

As you can see decent result in vr test but definitely your crazy powerful gtx1080s are winning with perfect results. :v::blush::+1::sparkles:

Mine:

i7 920 @2.9ghz without HT (usually higher and with HT but the weather is hot and I need better cooling)
16gb ram
gtx 1060 3gb
win 10
Standard 1tb HD
Xbox controller.

Works pretty well as you can see here:

At the moment my future VR PC is in my bank account, waiting into the last moment to buy new stuff if anything new gets released
First thought about keeping my 4790k and motherboard, but hey, I want to get a PCI-E M.2. SSD, so I got to change it anyway.

I will cram everything into this lovely little thing, Ghost S1

Sadly not possible for my case. ITX builds don’t have a spare pci-e, only one in them, and that goes to the gpu.
But man the feeling when you are finished building a really small silent computer, ignoring the blood dripping from fingers and knuckles :stuck_out_tongue:

Here is my current set up.

Thermaltake Core P5
Intel 6700k processor
MSI Z170A Gaming Motherboard
32Gb Vengence memory
MSI FE GTX1080ti graphics card
3x 500gb Intel SSD drives
1x 1Tb Intel SSD drive
950 Pro 512GB M.2 PCI-e 3.0 x 4 NVMe SSD

EK waterblocks for motherboard, processor, memory and GPU with a 420mm Monster rad, TT fans and Mayhems 16mm glass tubing.

Predator X34A super wide screen monitor
Acoustic Energy Aego 3 Soundbar and sub
Oculus Rift.
Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS.
Thrustmaster T300 Racing Wheel Ferrari Alcantara Edition.
Thrustmaster T3PA-Pro Add-On Pedal Set.

The sim pit is a Obutto Revolution with a customised seat that has vibration motors from a KW 908 -jet seat built into it. I also attached a trackless keyboard and mouse tray that folds up out of the way, but is easily lowered for FPS games or general web browsing.

I am seeing temps of 41ºc under full load with my GPU running at 2100Mhz and my processor at 4.2Ghz, so not bad.

Managed to squeeze it all into a little 6 x 9ft box bed room.

I am in the process of building a 4dof motion platform to replace the Obutto, and should go great with the Pimax when I get it.

OMFG! That is my Dream room! and 9x6 too! Are you in the film industry by any chance as those Predator masks look studio quality. The way you have designed your space is really impressive.

Your temps under load are great. I need to see if I can install Water Blocks on my FE GPU’s to bring their temps down. two cards hit 84c under 24 hour load which will shorten their life span considerably.

@D3Pixel

I am a big fan of Predator, I had the full size heads custom made and I purchased the scale figure made by Hot Toys. The other 1:1 scale helmets I built and painted myself.

I have also included pictures of my second water cooled PC.

Old Steamvr Score with r9 390 8g

Zotac 1080ti mini upgrade

As you can see wicked upgrade from the r9 390 8g. Can say should be good for pimax 5k/8k ready :v::blush::+1::sparkles:

I do intend upgrading the chasis to make this really small.

This is my setup atm:

GPU’s are NVidia 1080 Ti + 1070 Ti
32 GB Ram
I7 4770K
Middle monitor is my work one, DELL UP2716D, gaming to the right is an AOC 144Hz and the left one is a 10 year old Dell I have up for emails.
Oculus Rift + Touch + 3 sensor setup

The best item in my kit is the chair!. Bought second hand as they are expensive but had it 11 years now so worth it and my back loves me for it.

My next build will probably be a ThreadRipper v2 + dual 1080 Ti’s from PCSpecalists Liquid series (depending on a rendering job coming up).

I disagree, the best bit about your set up is the dog by your feet…
