SEO - Googling Pimax keywords returns old forum links which 404

@Heliosurge not sure if some redirects can be added to resolve this as I don’t know what the equivalent working link is now.

As an example:

  1. Googled “Pimax Mas Headphone”:

Just checked further and all that should be needed to fix this is a domain redirect from forum.pimaxvr.com → community.openmr.ai for all requests to forum.pimaxvr.com

The rest of the path can be left unchanged, no complications like URL Rewrites necessary.

So this is 404: https://forum.pimaxvr.com/t/this-is-what-pimax-needs-for-the-mas/22304

But this link works: https://community.openmr.ai/t/this-is-what-pimax-needs-for-the-mas/22304

@PimaxQuorra hope this makes sense?

Edit - the system automatically reformats the second link, but it’s same except that the domain is community.openmr.ai

We did forward this issue to our webmasters, they are working on the URL right now.

Bumping this, I appreciate it is CNY but 21 days later, nothing has been fixed?

I know there are other priorities but most companies will try and solve this within 24-48 hours because it looks very bad on the company. Please understand that the whole internet is filled with broken 404 Pimax links :frowning:

For example, on Issue Trackers on other companies’ websites - now everything linking to Pimax looks dead. There might even be a few people who could be mistaken into thinking that Pimax has ceased trading as a company…

Good news, thanks for chasing it up.

Not a problem for me at all, because I know the new URL is https://community.openmr.ai/ and I can always adjust the URL myself to access any broken links.

But most people outside this forum will not know that, and those are the people you need to consider :wink:
