Does screen saver working for you? Should I keep pitool always ON?

I also never got to see the screensaver working. Don’t know how it looks, or what it should do either. And after how many minutes of not wearing the hmd it should kick in… No information or settings are built into pitool.

For me the screensaver does work (on 5k+ and 5K XR). After some time without moving your HMD its activated. When its active you will see mainly a black screens with a grayish dot appearing in random places.

No. The screen saver is for protecting the HMD screens/panels from burn-in.
Latest Pi-Tool 263 here but did work for me with older versions including 262, too.
Your HMD must be not moving at all for some time (even vibrations of a fan can already wake it up).
Steam VR should mention that HMD is in stand-by mode.

Steam VR says it’s in stand by mode and I have to move my headset to wake up.
But I can still see background image through the lense.
*I’m not touching hmd, I can see it from the distance.

Ok. Will test again if it works with PiTool 263.
Checked the screen saver with by 5K XR and PiTool 263. Works.

Does it go complete off when screen saver working?

No. The headset stays on and the screens show moving grey dots.
