Screen protector mod Anti SDE solution to eliminate SDE?

Has anyone tried this yet? Lenses are easy enough to remove. A high quality screen protector under the lenses might not impact clarity or sharpness too much.

Sweviver did a teardown on how to remove lenses @ 1:29:55

I’m not entirely convinced it would be a good tradeoff with most screen protectors but maybe there are ones which would work well. The tech21 looks the best to me in the link below.

There is a plastic protector between lens & screen. @Sjef doing a teardown however might be able to experiment as he has had tge screens removed.

I thought putting the screen protector on the plastic screen protector between the screen and lenses might work but we do actually have a full teardown now for the adventurous.

It might work. However it might also create a reflective surface not being applied directly to screen or other visual anomalies.

I’m pretty sure the picture would be very blurry.
Press a smartphone or book behind frosted glass, and a few inches away.
I think, you will not recognize anything.
Can you read a book through such protective films? I suspect no.

We MUST apply anti-SDE filters directly to the screens.
Is this possible? Do we have access to the screens.
Are the screens sealed absolutely dustproof? Assembled in a clean room?

Is that a problem for the warranty?
