No problem.
That’s Great. I sent you a pm.
I will check your website
I was brainstorming with my manufacturer about this, we’re going to look at making the connector for the Pixmax linkbox have a right angle overmold and make the overall cable length 58cm. Dos that seem like a good dimension?
It should look really good when installed.

You can always stick a switched extender inline with any of these cable hacks

Why not just pull the plug out?
Yeah definitely, but an option depending on your setup.
I’ll be seated with the cables stashed away behind me to keep it tidy, so a remote switch inline might end up useful.
By the way everyone, you have probably noticed that everyone’s orders have shipped. Looking forward to getting your feedback!
Me too because I haven’t received my headset yet so I want to read some reviews and will definately order one if all good
I have a tip for UK backers, if you have ever had one of them Free to view TV boxes from BT or Talk talk, or a Humax box that can record, the power supply is a 12V, 2.5amp , just change the plug.
Also a bonus , if you pull open the TV Box, you will find a 350-500GB hard drive, I have 3 hard drives in My PC from the free TV boxes.
Got my Tundra Labs 12V kit, awesome!
Since it’s quite a simple piece of hardware, there not much to write about, it looks good, very simple to install, you’ll need a free PCI slot (not that it connects to the mobo PCI slot, but just the bracket) and a free SATA power cable.
I noticed the piece of cable that came within fits to the Vive breakout box as well, working ok no problems. One less wall adapter now!
I rather take the 12V to my headset from the Pc’s PSU than from the original wall adapter anyway… I think the Pc’s PSU’s might provide more stable voltage and current than the headset wall adapter.
Thanks @lgbeno at https://tundra-labs.com/
Thanks Trevor, glad that it arrived safely and that you are liking it. I agree, the PC power supply should be quite good. I wish I could market it like that but seemed safest to go down the convenience route.
Strange question but do you think that you could send me a few nice pictures of using the kit with Pimax. Truth be told, I do not have a Pimax HMD to test myself…
I really love your Pimax to SATA power adapter! I’d be happy to take some pictures for you but I have no idea how I could capture a picture of the adapter while also using the Pimax at the same time. But if you have some ideas on what type of pictures you would like let me know and I’l be happy to make them for you. I already had this picture I sent to a friend but I could use a real camera and better background.
I’ll try to take some pics this coming weekend np.
@lgbeno
Mine arrived too & works great!
Thank you very much
Thanks everyone for posting some pictures, it helps a lot to see how it fits together! Glad that I did add that 90deg connector after all
Dang this is sharp! I need to get my hands on this!
Do either of you mind if I post your pictures to Reddit? Trying to stir up some more interest in the project…
Looks great!
I also bought one of these kits!
I also want it and posted this thread but I saw the shipping cost to Europe It’s a bit steep for me
No i dont mind at all.
If you want it pictured in a specific way, i could probably do that.
This was about the best i could get of the connections, also with the hmd in the picture.
