The video shows you need to use the Vive HMD (without HDMI connected) as the way to connect them or if you have 2 Vive trackers you can use the USB dongles from them, I’m not sure if there are other dongles or workarounds that could work?
partially agree , but others forum usally require login to get some forum content, not sure if everyone wants that…
Yes I was thinking he was the same person but with different user name cross-posting is review…
I would not speak about myself in the third person " from IL2 Sturmovik forum - user “moosya” wrote review”
You can flash Steam Controller dongles with Vive controller dongle firmware. The only issue is that the firmware included with SteamVR is out of date so SteamVR will prompt you to update but doing so will revert the dongle back to a Steam Controller dongle.

It’s for trackers, but the step with requireHmd = false should be the same for controllers

I might give it a try once i got some lighthouse stations (which i will need anyway for my pimax)
I stumbled on a comment mentioning this, you can get those quite cheap. I actually have one somewhere for my steam controller I barely used.
I assume 2 will be required for 2 controllers?
wow will those steam controller wireless work with the controllers and the samsung odeyssey? They are a good buy then.
That’s the idea, if you don’t have the Vive HMD or don’t want to use the Vive HMD to connect to. Obviously still need the lighthouses.
i have the lighthouses waiting on the pimax, but if two off these dongles work with the controllers and the samsung odeyssey that would be great…
Yep exactly, just need to get my hands on 2 controllers + lighthouses now
but 1st i will give the inside-out tracking of the odyssey+ a try once it arrices
Wow just wow. I just opened my Odyssey + shipping box (shipped from B.C. to Alberta) to find 3 fucking minecraft xbox controllers. Microsoft already sat on the package for 3 days before even shipping and now I find this crap. I’m on the phone right now and of course they’re out of stock online. They better have a unit at the store 25 minutes away they can hold for me (they told me they wouldn’t do holds when I spoke with someone before). First purchase with Microsoft and most likely my last unless they step up to make this right.
WTF … Man that’s incredible
The woman I spoke with was very friendly and was able to get the store to hold one. The crappy part is that I can’t pick it up until tomorrow because “the store is too busy right now and my situation will take a bit of time”. Also I’ll have to wait a few days for the original order to be refunded and I’ll need to buy the new one. That isn’t a concern for me personally but for many it would have been. On the up side I had a wicked migraine this morning that I still haven’t come down from so now I can give my brain a rest…while I play Fallout 76
I’ll post my impressions tomorrow hopefully.
That’s bad! Especially the refund and buy another part!? Make sure you don’t lose out on the BF offer though since that ends in a couple of days?
Thats hilarious, kind of. That is if it weren’t that tragic. Be happy you didn’t get a can of offal.
Edit. Yes yes rdr2.
At least he can play multi player minecraft in style. Another example of a big corp that screws up bad.
Human error mate. It happens on every level
That beyond human error lmao.
I don’t understand how the workers don’t check returned items…wtf. I saw another post like this too on Reddit. I think it was for a Rift or Vive…but instead of controllers it was ROCKS.
Yes but more often folks put these big companies on a pedestal. These grotesque booboos serve to remind folks & encourage patience & understanding.
