[Replied]Pimax: we need fallout 4 vr working without parallel projections

This game is just simply not doable with parallel projections on because of the significant performance hit. With it off performance is reasonable but some of the shaders like specular maps, shadows and some lighting isn’t/aren’t rendering in both eyes.
I’m not sure how some games work without parallel projections and whether you work with the devs, or just add special game contextual rendering tricks without parallel projections, but this game needs it bad.

I’ve already searched for mods that might fix this but sadly there are none.

We need Bethesda to fix on there end or help to fix. :beers::sunglasses::+1::sparkles:

Oh man. Better off praying for someone to fix it with a mod.

@aesopfabled

If the developer side could use latest developing environment to build it again, the game could be played without parallel projections.

Yes that would be nice but it’s highly unlikely that will happen . I played on the Rift and it was awesome .

It’s messed up with WMR headsets too. Talk to Bethesda not Pimax if you want a fix.

The issue of some shadows etc not rendering in both eyes is fixed by using an older version of the exe. I ran it in pimax 5k+ earlier today and for sure there’s some weirdness. Not sure if the shadow issue was there, but the amount of ‘shimmering’ it seems on any straight line was insane. Really doesn’t look good. Will spend some time with Elite tonight.

Here’s the wmr fix suggestion for swapping exe files:

Okay so the issue on Fo4vr is Bethesda?
