Thats not on the outer edges. Its around the lenses. These screws have no influence on the enclosure I guess.

Ahh thank you so much! :+1:

Housing appears thick enough. So it must beva force fitting as otherwise just sitting shouldn’t crack.

The housing thickness is an illusion. Its mostly some kind of foam between two very very thin layers of some bad plastic. Pimax needs to get rid of it fast.

Not thay I saw enlarged pic. I see no foamcore board type setting. @Sjef can post actual info on this

… I have it in front of me. Wait…

Don’t know about the foam but this needs to be fixed asap else they run the risk of getting flooded by RMA’s.

Need either @Sjef input or a boken peice side profile.

Thankfully mine is fine so far, but they definitely need to get to the bottom of this.

Indeed why I mentioned if anyone would have broken by now one of tge 3 youtubers whom use daily. Sweviver is known for toting his to work.

Thomas (or was it Martin?) had problems with 1 of his Units don’t know if it was before or after they said they would fix it but seeing now backers having the same problem the issue is still there.

To me those cracks reported looks like has been hit with or hit in to something. Thin plastic wall surely, no screws in the corner though.

Or maybe just tension.

again, never hit anything. my unit is already RMA’ed because of a deadpixel so I really have nothing to gain with any false flag of a device that is going back anyway.

thats no tension crack, it just chipped away. you can see some kind of grey stuff under the first layer.

They all hit the headset in the same spot? It is a simple material failure.

some of you will have an idea how you handle something you waited so long and you know others have already cracked. I handled that thing with kid gloves…
