Greetings!
I am playing “non VR” games in “Video” mode, and realized that sometimes even in small, empty maps, (running at 60 fps), the game loses sync on image movement.
It does not seem to be caused by a hardware bottleneck, because the game runs at 60 fps, and a second later it seems to reduce to 20 fps.
I’m already running in “1080p” mode.
Is there a recommended setting to avoid this random stuttering?
I’m playing all “non-VR” games with Super Depth 3D, and I thought in “video” mode the games got faster because they did not need BIGSCREEN or VIRTUAL DESKTOP. I have never tried REVIVE in “video” mode.
Does this help in the performance of “non-VR” games?
I did not know that.
I’m going to test, thanks for the suggestion!
Apparently I’m the only one who has this problem.
I could not make the “non-VR” games load on PIMAX only with REVIVE. I needed Virtual Desktop, and in this way I have less FPS. For a GTX970, “video mode” is still the best choice for image quality and performance.
Maybe I did not explain it right:
When I’m playing, everything flows with high FPS, but a few minutes later, the same scenario loses synchronism, causing loss of frames. The same count of polygons, same textures, same lighting, same MAP, but one time is synchronized, and at another time without synchronism.
With revive, you should be in pimax mode not video mode. I don’t have dirt rally but to revive it (if it works that is… and looking at other forums it should)
basically, launch steamvr in pimax mode after revive has been installed that is!
Once the hmd has been detected and steamvr is green in the pop-up, a new icon will appear in sys tray right click it and choose patch. Then navigate to the exe for dirt rally, and click OK
Now some say to launch the game via steam and it should put it in the hmd in vr mode, others say you have to launch it directly with the exe file you just patched, but you can try both methods
I tried the 2 methods but the game does not load in the HDM. I ran the game on Steam, then tried straight into the game exe, it did not work.
But thank you for trying to help me.
I read the topic, they are talking about installing an old version of DX, but always referring to the games purchased in STEAM. What if my game is not STEAM? Origin or GOG, for example? Would I just add in STEAM as “non steam game”?
