Modes instruction
Pimax mode: support for playing games and panoramic videos.
-----------------games content: Piplay, Steam, OC Home & DK1 & DK2.
-----------------videos content: standard 2D, 3D videos; 180, 360 degrees panoramic videos.
Video mode: support KODI player only, for watching 2D, 3D videos.

Known issues at present
a. default resolution of Piplay is 2560*1440, it may occur gray-screen of Pimax in low graphics configuration scene when modes switched. Please replug HDMI cable of Pimax to resolve.
b. if the patch KB2670838 is not installed, which cause games could not be opened and panoramic games could not be used, please install it.
c. if PC installed many decoders, which may occur the decoder could not call by Autoplay and then result black screen issue, please change decoder setup to resolve.

Online automatic update
Normally Piplay itself would check update automatically when itā€™s opened, which would be influenced by local network.
Notes: Please run it as Administrator if Piplay has not updated for a long time.

Attention: This Piplay version needs to use the latest Firmware(1.0.0.194), and then you can use the newest functions. If your Firmware is lower than 194, you canā€™t connect you Pimax with your PC. So please update your firmware when you see the firmware update window.

Piplay updating instruction:

  1. added repair tool of DirectX during installing latest version.

  2. added tutorial guide course for new.

  3. added Pilog function for getting state of headset and grapping log of issue.

  4. added minimum resolution option of 2560*1440 in Steam Mode for high definition images of Steam, no need Pix.exe patch anymore.Please do use this function together with latest Firmware1.0.0.236.

  5. added optimization of Steam games.

  6. Note: so far, some kinds of Graphics cards could not support latest function of 2560*1440 resolution, mainly as notebook and low graphics cards, which occured gray screen and non-connection issues. It could return to normal after cancelled hook of this function , reinsert USB cable and then reboot computer operations.

Kodi_Pimax Support for 2D, 3D movie playback, 360 video is not supported at this time
This player is made to order for the Pimax4KVR, has the advantages of simple operation, powerful function, good picture, low configuration requirements. And there are very rich online live broadcast plugin can be downloaded by the game players. The player will continue to be optimized. If you like to see HD movies at home, to experience the enjoyment of cinema view, this is an essential player.

Note: At present has been determined to open SteamVR player to switch mode mode or change the cold and warm tone, adjust the IPD operation will lead to switching is not successful display abnormal situation, the situation is caused by the Steam VR, it is recommended that players in these operations (Switch mode mode or change the cold and warm colors, adjust the IPD operation) when the first exit Steam VR.

Instructions of compatibility

Extend mode: Extend mode is compatible with OC 0.4, 0.5, 0.6 games, support LiveViewRift, Maxvr player(Some games do not support Windows 10).
Direct mode: Direct mode is compatible with OC 0.7, 0.8 games.
Pimax mode: Pimax mode is compatible with Steam, OChome platform. We suggest to use the Simple VR Video Player (Steam platform).

PC supposition instruction:
Piplay will opens the modes if your PC fulfills the condition:
Having integrated graphic and can not close it (laptop): Only supports Extend mode
Without integrated graphic, only has NVIDIA graphic, drive version is between 358.70-362.00: Supports Extend mode, Direct mode and Pimax mode.
Without integrated graphic, only has NVIDIA graphic, drive version is over 362.00: Supports Pimax mode and Extend mode.
Without integrated graphic, only has AMD graphic, latest drive: Supports Extend mode, Direct mode and Pimax mode.

Updating FAQ
Piplay updating instructions:
Auto-update. When you open Piplay, it will check by itself if it needs to update. If you havenā€™t update it for a long time, please open Piplay as administrator, it will check and update by itself.

FW updating instructions:
FW updating needs 2-3 minutes. If you take a long time such as more then 5 minutes, you can do it like this:
Reason: Some systemā€™s user need to install the latest USB drive ļ¼ˆSTMMicroelectronices DFU Device driverļ¼‰
Solution: Please download and install the STMMicroelectronices DFU Device driver and Microsoft run-time and try again.
