Recording Eye Gaze with the Droolon Pi 1

Hey everyone,

I’ve recently started a thesis on eye gaze in virtual reality and was provided with a Pimax 8KX with the Droolon Pi 1 eye tracker. I’ve gotten calibration to work with ASeeVR, but I haven’t been able to find any other documentation on development with the eye tracker (I am using Unity Engine).

I was wondering if you guys had any advice on where to look or how to integrate the eye tracker into unity. I’ve tried the HTC Sranipal SDK but can’t get past calibration on Steam VR (It passes initialization but stops after that). I’ve done the firmware update and I can see it as Droolon Pi 1 under cameras in device manager.

All I really need is just a live video feed of the pupils and I can do everything else, all I see when I pull up the video stream is a green square.

Any advice you guys have would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
J

Not really an answer, (I’m no dev) but there may be an improvement to the eye tracking software here
