Questions re 8KX Sweviver etal

Apologies if this was covered, I just can’t keep up with allnew threads.

  1. I purchased my 5K+ in the Pimax store. Is that considered a preorder, that will be eligible for upgrade discount.

2 I realize when open in Oct, the backers will get first dibs on the 8KX. What is the status of product availability. If I order a 8KX, will I be waiting a while for product. Or do you have a large stock ready to go? Will it also be available on Amazon for purchase as well?

  1. Finally, this is mainly for sweviver. Martin, I appreciate very much the tutorial and comparisons you do for us… I asked a while back for some help using P3d 4 how to optimize my 5K+. I received more or less a blowoff answer. I know you use xplane, If it would mean a purchase to get P3d, I would gladly purchase one for you, so you can help us users optimize P3d too. I’ve tried the different settings you used in xplane, they just didn’t work too well in p3d xx. Anybody else using P3d 4.x, I could use some input.

Do you use both steam VR Aand Pitool to run P3d. How do you set up your SS in SteamVR, andPitool setup. Also optimal p3d settings. I’ve tried many combos, just can’t get a good solid framerate. Also get the stutter lag when looking around cockpit.

Already mention specs prior, x299 MB, Aorus 2080ti,32GB Gskill ram i9 9900X(yes X, not K)

There were three order types:

  1. Backers - purchased through Kickstarter - discount
  2. Preorders - purchased through the Pimax store before the official release - probably no discount
  3. Regular order - purchased through the Pimax store after the official release - no discount
