Problem with Yaw Drift and gyros

There is a problem with drifting yaw SteamVR driver.

If Oculus 0.8 is used in direct mode, the drift does not exist. Does anyone else can confirm?

Are engineers working on the problem? It is quite annoying to have yaw drift and have to constantly focusing the game.

Why not a calibration method is used as the Edtracker to always have located the north with the magnetometer? I never had a problem drift with the magnetometer costing 2.5$ (MPU9250)
