Beta v0.28

Release Notes:

  1. (Requested Feature) Search feature added! The right-bar has now a real-time search input field for filtering games/apps in all categories that includes text/letters entered. Upon clicking on input field, a virtual keyboard popus up with all letters, caps lock, backspace and some special characters. The Search function is NOT case sensitive, so caps lock doesnt really matter. Click on “Done” to hide the keyboard. On right side of the Input field, there is also a “remove all text” button so you can clean the search input field at any time. The search basically looks if the game title .Contains() the specified letter(s), and lists the games instantly. Simple but efficient!

  2. VR Experience now imports SteamVR, Revive and VivePort games into its own folders (separated from PiTool). The folder is C:\Users\user\AppData\LocalLow\Pimax\PVRHome\GameImports . As soon as I get the Oculus game imports working (without PiTool’s help), I will move Oculus imports to the same directory, but meanwhile they are located in old directory as before. Eventually, I will also add a feature to manually import custom games directly within VR Experience, but I need to more time to implement a harddrive-browser for Unity. Meanwhile, use the PiTool manual importer just like before.

  3. SteamVR/Revive games are no longer being re-imported every time upon startup (less demanding and faster startup). If a game already is imported, VR Experience only updates the SteamVR “last played” date+time, to sync it up with what SteamVR has saved in it’s manifest file. This means none of the game categories (SteamVR/Oculus/Revive/VivePort/Import) are re-importing upon startup anymore. Hopefully that speeds up the VR Experience startup time if you have hundreds of installed games!

  4. Minor UI bug fixes and improvements.
