Please tell me no mans sky vr will not need parallel projections

I’m super hyped for this game and am praying it won’t be soul crushingly crippled by performance sucking parallel projections.

It is a unity game I think, which is a good sign.

Well head thw dev off at the pass aand ask if they are using pimax’s unity sdk pluggin & give them the link to it. :beers::wink::+1::sparkles:

lol, direct pimax support. That’s wishful thinking i think.

Not really as a few titles have added it & made a point of advertising on steam.

To be fair, it’s Pimax’ responsibility that the needed plugins find their way to the AAA titles.

Everyone and his dog is waiting for NMS Beyond, sales numbers and frequency of posts on Reddit, their forums, and even in the Steam Community were quite incredible. YouTube views are also good indication.

It’s not too much to ask for information whether Pimax has made sure their headset is compatible to NMS. It’s important to us.

Nms uses opengl right? I am not sure if this is going to work…

It’s the top selling game on Steam right now.

So then the dev will want to support wide variety of headsets. I might goto the discusion on steam to ask them if there using pimax’s sdk.

This Dev is also likely appeoachable after their original troubled launch over the non Multiplayer discovery at the time.

It is moving to be solely vulkan (possibly with the update coming on the 14th)

It’s not Unity, Hello games wrote the engine themselves from what I’ve seen in interviews. Going to just have to cross fingers I think.

Pimax could have sent them a headset back in March when it was announced… going to be an absolutely massive VR title by the looks of it.

I hope it supports Pimax too. At the moment i will be playing it with my Oculus Quest streaming from Virtual Desktop… because no basestations or controllers yet…

too bad these games dont have some way of advertising that, like say an icon on the store page.

your right, pimax should be bending over backwards to make sure there headset works with this

This is definitely a game I will be playing on my 5k+ when we finally get the controllers and basestations.

This is definately a game I’ll be playing in 6 days because I bought the Rift S…fed up waiting for Pimax to deliver. Still a 5K +owner but now I have options.

Yeah Valve needs to add the icon like they did for the defunct OSVR.

Not that these bling Icons matter - too many headset icons. I don’t remember the game name now but a couple of months ago a new release specifically advertised pimax support.

Could you imagine if they added icons for iVRy, Trinus & Riftcat? It’s already becoming a mess.

But not too worry as a user recently posted a response from Valve demonstrating they are indeed working with pimax.

And vive versa considering at release of NMS was also one of the most refunded games. It’s in the Dev’s interest to support pimax directly.

yeah, I bought a Rift S from amazon because yhe Pimax is not “there” yet to be a reliable experience.

However I did something im not proud of and overpaid for some knucles controllers from ebay that ship to canada, because God Damn I hate the wive wands. I may as well not have controllers at all they are so bad.

I figure when Pimax actually ships me the sword sense , hopefully its at least as good as or better than knuckles, then I can recoup some of the cost by either selling the knuckles or selling the swords.

I dont suspect there will be much of a price reduction on those controllers any time soon.

(EDIT: Rift S is going back unfortinately. My IPD is slightly out of range its still (pretty sharp though, just not 100% as comfortable on the eyes) ,and I cant justify the cost having bought the knuckles, but I will say I was very impressed with the rift S, tracking especially…and if my OG rift dies I will probably get the RiftS again if Pimax isn’t up to snuff by then)

Too bad about your ipd, Rift S is very sharp for me but my ipd is average I guess at around 64.

How are you enjoying the knuckles controllers? I was tempted but sprang for RiftS instead.
