If your playing sitdown games ie project cars. You will be fine; you just won’t be able to lean ( shoulder checks may introduce you to the head rest.
Hey brian you can give up on the kick starter preaching. These people are asking logical questions. The base station were listed as a low risk item and it’s not even being developed by pimax. Its somthing they should have a firm delivery date on
Many of us ordered a single base station for tracking and It’s most likely the controllers that are holding things up

Is it possible the base stations might be ready to ship before the controllers? Many of us have ordered one with our headset. Is there a problem with base station availability?
Pssst see above post. Lol. Driving or flying still decent without. Now delivery of the hand module could fill that gap if Greg’s Drvr4vr can di the roomscale with it.
Granted not sure if hand module will ship with hmd.
This is actually good question. Do we know what is the reason for the delay? Is it really the base station, or is it rather the controller? The controller seems to be the obvious candidate, but I do not recall seeing any explanation from @Pimax-Support why the base station should be delayed.
Preaching, LOL. The dude is asking for a refund, tell me how that’s a valid question? He could have easily left that out of his comment but he feels like he’s somehow been “cheated” because the delivery date got pushed back a little (which makes me giggle a little bit). You’re probably right; I should just stop reading these forums because there is no relevant information here anymore other than people crying about things they should have thought about before pledging to back this project.

Need Matthew clarify are they specifically talking about the controllers or the base stations. Yes gyro tracking will work if it doesnt have huge drift like the 4k but its rubbish compared to positional

Pimax is not a startup you muppet. And were specifically talking about the base stations here. Many of us decided to get one besause it was a “low risk” item. People have a right to ask questions
I hear you there. But the 4k drift seems to be hit n miss as a few of us are not affected & some the calibration works. But yes pos better even if you can bind leaning left & right to keys.
But yeah Android needs to create a better notification system lol
& agreed if its controllers that are the delay then ship lighthouses out with headsets if ready

There will be tons of reviews going up in Q1 based on gyro tracking which doesnt help their cause. Obviously there will be some reviews with the HTC stations but it will be a mixup. Kind of like the whole V2/V3 prototype refresh rate confusion

I just wanted to clarify something regarding the order. The choice of thumb stick vs trackpad…would a thumb stick potentially cause issues when playing some Vive games since those are designed with a trackpad in mind?
I’d like a thumb stick but I can’t decide because I want to avoid potential issues.
Also, if chosen to have HMD sent first, is it possible to do anything with it when not having any base stations or controllers? …like can I at least use it to watch movies on using Bigscreen and use a gamepad for control or no?
You need to look at the aps if ut supports game pad you will be fine.
As far as i know you should be fine with a thumbstick as Razer Hydra & oculus touch are thumbsticks
But no sort of tracking correct? All I have is a Rift camera. But I’ll be happy enough to watch Bigscreen, I just worry how tracking might affect my ability to use it but guess I’ll see. Not a big deal to wait till April if I have to… I waited this long

Why progress/research update stopped after KS campaign is closed?
What is final screen refresh rate? Controllers? What eye tracking solution Pimax will use? When v4 demo?
They said they plan to update v4 around mid December.
