the $150 refund was not an “option” iirc, it was a case of, for all those who did not opt-out, they would automatically be getting a “stretch goal bundle” shipped, if Pimax mess that up and fail to deliver your backer bundle by the end of October and you are fed up of waiting, THEN you can claim a cash refund (to a paypal account) of $150, I wasn’t under the impression it was something you could just claim now

Martin, do you know what is happening for 8K-X backers regarding the KDMAS? Obviously as part of backers stretch goals we were promised a MAS, but our 8KX’s are shipping to us with SMAS installed, but 5K+ and 8K backers will be getting a MAS with KD speakers.
Will we be getting a set of KD speakers sent out with our stretch goal backer bundle? Or are we getting thrown under the bus and just getting lumped with the SMAS?
Thats correct. Its kind of a warranty for you, and also that proves we do our best to fulfil our promises on time.
As I mentioned in the other thread, we are discussing this currently and will inform you about it shortly. All backers will get the KDMAS eventually of couse, including the 8KX backers. We wont dissapoint the 8KX backers. But we will most likely send the KDMAS speakers standalone to all 8KX backers, as the audio strap is identical with the one they already get with the SMAS right now.

That this end of October is even considered makes me worryin. I was expecting my Base Station when they claimed all are shipping beginning of April/May. Still stuck with 3DOF for yrs now. Hearing that thousands of BS were shipped already doesn’t make me feel any better, even worse. I have to wait months in addition where others didn’t need to.
The StretchGoal bundle is OK. It just needs to ship for real in August.
I won’t order the eye tracking yet just to make sure they don’t delay my package even further just because mine wouldn’t be ready, again…

did you already ask for your basestations to be shipped and pay the extra shipping to have it sent seperate?

Well, either SweViver misformulated his thoughts (see the video @ 48:10), or I misunderstood (more than probable).
I thought SweViver was saying that you could “opt-out from this program”, get the refund and buy it later.
