Looks like it’s boxed well finally. Now it’s up to the postman to deliver it in original condition.
Hope Pimax logistics learn from this and package the Silicone Sleeve adequately to maintain its shape and smoothness and avoid this scenario in the future.

Lesson learnt! We will ensure that our logistics team is aware of it and consider all products, including recent ones like the Crystal and upcoming modules, and take proactive steps to prevent similar incidents in the future.

All said and done, I have 2 sleeves that came in cylinders and neither lost shape. Nic’s looks like the actual material is different like some heat exposure affected it.

Looks exactly like rubber that has soaked up oil over several years. 
Iirc mine came in a cylinder and it was fine.

Yes all 3 of nine came in the Cylinder. I am guessing the Op’s pic is a manufacturing qc issue.

I received the replacement properly boxed silicone sleeve today.

This is how it should be boxed! Not that stupid cylinder which causes WARPING and DISTORTION.
If any customer orders one these and it’s shipped in the cylinder, ask for a replacement straight away.

Looks good but in all Honesty I believe the first one you received was defective prior to being put in the tube. Almost 6000 backers + Pte orders received in the tube with no one receiving one in that condition you pictured earlier.
I received 3 of them. 2 with Backer kit and one for a cracked housing.
Either glad you received yours in proper condition.
Just a note: if you get the HT module you will need to cut some of the silicon protective sleeve off as it interferes with the usb-c connection.
