Pimax showed off a bunch of cool tech today but I really think they should have also addressed their communication issues and provided a commitment to the community to refocus in that area of the company

Look, the livestream was neat, had tons of really cool and advanced technology. Pimax is definitely pushing the limits of VR tech and thats awesome…but…Pimax absolutely has a major communication problem and that has cast a shadow on today’s announcements in my opinion and is a driving factor in alot of people in the general VR community hesitant to enter into this eco system.

If Pimax really wants to be the leader in VR then they need to commit to improving their communication through quantifiable actions(hiring pr managers, etc) and not just a throwaway statement saying they’ll do better. As they have said the same in the past.

Also the fact that the 8 day delay wasn’t even mentioned…once…was a little annoying. You all got the whole community in an uproar and went completely radio silent for over a week and then tried to play it off like it didnt even happen. Come on guys, this is the problem people have with Pimax.

I agree.

I’ve been saying Pimax has a PR Problem since back in Pimax 4K days.

While overall I think we had good news, people are still going to get super angry over the Eye Tracking stuff.

Although I agree with you, this is going to fall on deaf ears. Pimax keeps saying they’re working on communication, in fact it’s been over a year (IIRC) since they made a point to address it but has anything changed? Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me 10 times? I stopped trusting Pimax a very long time ago with any info they give. Until there’s something in my hands their word isn’t trustworthy.

Very unfortunate as you say, they could be raking in the dough if they didn’t keep tripping over their own feet.
