[Pimax Response Required] Is there an official solution for eyestrain and IPD issues in the works?

I think that would allow as much flexibility as possible within the physical limits of current lenses and screen angles to find a solution for almost every face shape.

It also needs profile saving so you can switch between game/user combos quickly.

Pimax support has offered an official response which I posted in another thread. But so far, this has not been supported by any official forum members. I believe then that Pimax ARE looking at the options regarding this issue but don’t want to put their cards fully on the table.

They asked for mine back for this reason. I returned it and await their findings.

No response at all yet? This is totally unacceptable customer service and truly laughable approach by Pimax seeing the amount of people who have been vocal about these issues in recent months.
The least that could be said is the issues are being investigated, not even that.

Try reading the thread. For

1. A response was given they are investigating this issue(Robcram summarized initial response). No response is truly needed until #2 is a WiP response.

2. New pitool Beta has some added ipd features & more (see Neal’s post linked to new Beta).

Thanks got it working again, I was tired last night, this morning I deleted the light house folder and its now working, (WITH THE NEW BETA)
Now upping the contrast to max and lowering brightness a bit make the hole HMD SO MUCH better for me, the screens seam to be washed out before. big difference.
IPD is now set to -1 in pitool, the lenses are sill out though, so users with low IPD can get the screen profile correct but they will not get the lenses into focus.
BUT a big thumbs up for the contrast and brightness control.

Looks like a lens redesign and smaller lenses with a lens adapter still be needed after all for slightly smaller lenses.

Lens and new strong case option for DIY people would be great. Than Pimax can really start ruling the upper entousiasts segment and those people are ready to spend more than average VR fans. Without those option Vive Index is still the biggest rival eventhough we have to wait a month to really see this.

We released a software IPD adjustment which in other threads is regularly said to reduce or eliminate eye strain, eliminate most overlap issues and more. We will continue to work hard on the software, firmware, face foams and other comfort aspects of the experience. We don’t have any plans to redesign the lenses or make hardware changes at this time.
