Improvement s over Pimax Play 1.2 8 :
-
Tooltip clarification: Optimized Japanese tooltips.
-
OTA process improvements: Enhanced the OTA update process and fixed several bugs.
-
Battery display: Resolved issues with abnormal battery displays for third-party trackers.
-
Tracking improvements Improved the Crystal Light’s tracking algorithm, enhancing stability and precision while reducing jitter under low-texture and plain wall conditions.
-
Tracking lighting frequency improvement For the Crystal Light, we’ve added the automatic setting of lighting frequency according to the user’s computer region to improve positioning quality. We’ve also added instructions for setting the lighting frequency to the beginner guide of Pimax Play.
-
Optimized the screen jittering issue for Crystal Light
This client also includes the 90 Hz upscaling mode. This feature is currently in beta testing and available for Crystal Light. Please make sure you upgrade your headset’s firmware after installing the new Pimax Play client on your PC.
The upcoming upscaling mode in Pimax Play uses an algorithm to add pixels and detail to an image, making it sharper and clearer. It’s much more effective than simply resizing low resolution. This greatly helps with performance.
Upscaling is for now coming to the Crystal Light, and will also be available for the Pimax Crystal, although although we do not have an exact ETA for this yet.
Update on Non-Local Dimming Crystal Light Shipments
As mentioned in our July Progress Update video, we’re now shipping to those who have pre-ordered the non-local dimming Crystal Light. For users who have pre-ordered this version, please keep a close watch on your email to pay the remainder. More info here.
