Pimax please fix your address validation process ASAP

Two weeks ago I received the weird mail that many of us backers/preorderers received which told us that our addresses need to be checked because of some kind of inconsistency. Just like all the others here who received this mail I couldn’t find any inconsistency. Every needed and required info was typed correctly in the correct field.

Today I received two mails from Pimax. In the mail I received first Pimax confirmed that the two headsets I ordered (5K Plus & 5K BE order #P10XX) ) would be sent separately and they also told me that they already shipped one headset to me (5K Plus). I even received an email from DPD UK telling me that a parcel for me is currently arranged by the sender.

Now it gets weird (again): A few hours later I received another mail from Pimax. This time they told me the following:

“Dear Customer,
We’re confirming your shipping address in order to ensure that the package can arrive at your delivery address smoothly.Pls provide the state of your shipping address so we can deliver the product to you.
Moreover,we’ll deliver 5K+ to you firstly.
Thanks for your support and Have a good day!”

  1. How is it possible I get a shipping confirmation PRIOR to another mail which encourages me to check my address so the shipping process can be started!?

  2. They are asking me specifically for the state of my shipping address and since I already gave them every information the address form required I can only assume they need my federal state (I live in Germany).

The problem is there is absolutely no field in the address form asking for the federal state. Usually such a field would be named “state/province” but in the Pimax address form there is no such field. The only field were you could put that information would be the field named “address2” but usually this field is meant for additional information like an appartment number.

I just added my federal state to the “address2”-field hoping they get the shipping done now.

Pimax definitely needs to strengthen their address validation process asap! Right now they tell you that your address is incorrect when it’s obviously not. So please Pimax revise the field-naming in the address form to avoid maximum confusion!

weird, atleast in the survey there was a state/province field

I am not sure about your specifics. I know that many backers got an email along the lines of “your headset has been shipped to the overseas warehouse” when the headsets were shipped (in bulk) from China. After they arrive at the “warehouse”/forwarder they are shipped to individual backers.

I would assume that is what/where they were asking for. On another note, they have been having issues with addresses containing non-English characters (ie Ü) and the characters were automatically being removed.

Now I am really confused! Yesterday Pimax told me they would send the 5K Plus first and then later the 5K BE!

This morning I received 2 identical Pimax-emails with a shipping confirmation and an attached DPD tracking number (same tracking number in both mails). When looking into my account my order is declared “Fulfilled” now. When I click on the order details the tracking number is added to BOTH headsets so it would seem like they already shipped both headsets in one parcel (which can’t be true, right!?)
Also I am pretty sure that the SKU-field in my order description was blank before. Now there is a number for both headsets in the SKU-field (P2-5P for the 5K Plus and P2-5B for the 5K BE)

I’ll try my luck asking Pimax for verification…
