Hello there,
We need a mic boost option in pitools, because windows 10 doesn’t have it always…
People say the mic is very silent…
I did this trick:
https://priyamraj.com/fix-microphone-quiet-windows-10-no-boost-option/
And then the mic is good…
But we need a simple solution in pitool.

That usaly you can fix if you have open advanced settings in steam vr, the mic volume is lowered in windows.

I don’t see an option there?

If you go in to open advanced settings when steam vr is running (in your headset) you have settings for SS and so in the midle off it you have audio settings there you can change volume on mic, change to push to talk and so on.

That I already have on 100%.
Without the option that I posted the mic volume is way to low from the pimax

Are You absolutely sure You’re not using a different mic?
You can check which recording device SteamVR switches to by clicking on the SteamVR window, choose settings and see it under the “Audio” tab.
Maybe it’s the “Enable gain reduction on Vive HDMI Audio” option, same place? Not sure if that actually does anything on a Pimax?

I would like to stress this. Yeah, it would be great to get a boost option. This is still an issue.

Found a solution -
try this https://www.pcsteps.com/15528-windows-10-driver-causes-low-volume-usb-microphone/
it worked for me. I can whisper now and people kneel in Onward.

i realy hope pimax will implement a micboost option in pitool as an option,so no other third party software is needed. @SweViver @Matthew.Xu @Alex.liu
