Guys the backercare@pimax.com email isn’t working.

Anyone who has an outstanding order for MAS on a 5k+ (or any original headset) will receive the KDMAS.

Hi - so whats the deal with the audio straps? I am a 5k+ backer - will you be sending me a strap and when is the time-frame for receiving it?

It’s at the top in the TLDR of this very thread - worth checking out of you have time. There is specific section labeled “stretch goal related” to save more time.

But we will begin shipping “backer boxes” in late August.

Gonna try my luck here…when pre-orders for the 5k+ (and presumably 8k) were taken, we were told this would include a MAS when ready, but we have been met with silence ever since. @DrWilken can back up me up :slight_smile:

Is there any chance you will offer a KDMAS to those pre-orderers to fulfill that original promise?

Is the MAS shown somewhere on your receipt? You can create a ticket with the screen shot of your receipt that shows the MAS.

Is there any news at all about the wireless module? If so where can I find it?

It was a “pre-order gift” to try to push extra orders, I guess, so probably not the easiest thing to prove, and to be honest I’ve kinda given up on it by now as I’ve ordered an 8KX with the DMAS.

It was shown (with a nice 3D graphic of it too) on the pre-order page (for the of headsets) as far as I remember for quite a while.

We’re talking late 2018/early 2019 here.

I also pre-ordered the hand-tracking module after ordering the 5K+ but at least I have screenshots and mails for that (as it was done using the “pay the difference” item on the old shop).

Unfortunately not (I am checking again just in case), because IIRC it was an offer made on the forum that could not be followed up on with any response. I asked subsequently a few times.

I was hoping the good doctor has the evidence of that from before, but it seems not. Thanks for responding though :slight_smile:

I’ve found it before. It was a Pimax employee (Dallas Hao) who confirmed that us early pre-order customers would also receive it even though it wasn’t listed when we pressed the pre-order button.

Sure, Dallas’ name against this this rings a bell. I have found this @DrWilken @PimaxUSA - can this be used with a ticket somehow? And it was for a DMAS aka “Headstrap with earphones” :slight_smile:

Pimax: Please confirm 8KX Backer Upgrade Plan information - Are the old plans dead?..
I did the same, I am backer who opted for plan B (Out all backer rewards and pay) to get the 8KX… @PimaxUSA and @SweViver could clear this question.

they said the boards needed for 8kX signal throughput would be ready q4 2020, so probably it’s a q1-4 2021 window. We’ll probably get news about it in Q1

Appreciated, but I was hoping to get some info about the state of development. As far as I understood, the chipset would be available in Q4 in large quantities, but that’s not what you need for development and tooling.

What is Pimax’ official stance on the pre order bonus? I’m not sure if you were an employee back then so I’ll take the view that you genuinely might not be in the loop.

Warranty for backers is a real issue.

There are those of us without base stations or controllers who still have our pimax headsets in the box still waiting to use them!!!

So what happens if or when we finally receive both and the headset dies after a month of use, or even 8 months?!

Again it’s not our fault Pimax is providing the items we ordered in stages with such a long period before each stage, and as such we are unable to use our headsets until we receive our entire order!
So technically our warranty should not begin until we have received ALL of our order!

You dont buy a car and the manufacturer says you wont get the wheel until after your warranty expires! Only to find you have a dead engine!
