I’m using a MSI Gs73VR laptop with GTX1060. The pimax vr was not working with direct mode previously at all with piplay1.29. But I saw some post mentioning piplay2 works for laptop now. Then, I tried to update the latest piplay2. After connected the HmD, the hmd was showing green led but not blue and in piplay device page shows connected but with a cross symbol. SteamVR do not work too.
Any solution so far?
can i ask if you have oculus home installed as well… i had the same issues and had oculus installed … oculus had a driver update, after installing that update and unplugging USB for HMD and plugging back in it started working again.

I do not have oculus install. It just that after plugged in the Hmd. The pc just don’t recognize the hmd as second display. It shows connected in piplay2 but in device page shows disconnected. Green led on hmd
It will ONLY recognize pimax as a second screen when in video mode… When in pimax mode (game mode) output is direct to the hmd. Having a green screen when in pimax mode does mean it’s not getting the the hmd tho
I was unable to choose videomode or pimaxmode. In the piplay device page just shows my hmd was disconnected. But the hdmi and usb column is shown connected with a cross symbol on the hmd.
Using the previous piplay 1.29, after the hmd was connected it will automatically goes to videomode 1st. I can choose pimaxmode, but the steamvr will not work with it maybe due to laptop gpu and igpu problem. The steamvr will shows only a blank white screen and the room setup did not detect the hmd. At least, the hmd works in video mode.
You said there is a X… Is that in the HMD? is it green… Is the same X in the pimax piplay screen.

But if you mean there is a X in the device page next to where it says device, then you are right and the device has not installed properly.
I actually had the same issues when I 1st installed 2.2.x, and I re-download the driver but not from mega, but from Google docs as pimax support put it there as well.
I then noticed that this new installer did some additional things the one from mega didn’t do, inc installing directx (Chinese version) and Uninstaled my old piplay.
Where did you get your piplay download from out of curiosity?

I get the piplay download from the official website.
If I’m not mistaken, during the installation there is no directx installation like the previous piplay1.29. There is just 1 grey loading bar showing piplay installing and that’s all.
I may need to get the proper driver.

Uninstall piplay 1st.
Then normal install using the PiPlay from that location

Do you mean that you are ready for Jet_lyj to ask HIS question? I think that his issue us above. I also provided an additional link to the latest 2.0.x drivers on my Google drive, as the one on mega does not install properly… It didn’t for him or for me, I got mine from another Google drive link which has been taken down.
It appears that for Jet_lyj the directx part of the installation did not happen

@Enopho Well,I think it cause of the Microsoft runtime issues. @Jet_lyj Have you try to fix it from the plugin which called Microsoft’s common runtime collection?
Sorry eno. I tried to download the google file but can’t download. Maybe due to I’m located at China now, can’t open google site.
