First let me repost the google spreadsheet about base stations shipments status (thanks johannesfknudsen and Axacuatl).

Feel free to add your own status if you are waiting for Pimax to send you separate base stations or controller bundles:

This spreadsheet was part of the biggest thread about base stations shipments that was locked on May 26th with this promise: “We will create a new topic where anyone missing a delivery can post and be resolved.”

Today, June 3rd, this topic supposed to solve all the false shipment promises Pimax has been making since they said they have received the base stations from Valve (December 2019) has still not been created…

The google spreadsheet above shows many backers are still waiting for Pimax to send their base stations tracking number. Most recent posts on the forum also shows many threads from people inquiring every day about their base stations shipment status.

For people without tracking number

Have you checked your KS order page recently ? Because this is where your tracking number could be without Pimax informing you of the shipment.

Last official news

And now last news received 7 days ago in the older locked thread was about “base stations being moved from one warehouse to another”, without more details.

Also it was announced pimax had sent “436 sets the very week” (sets = controller bundles ? Because if it was separate base stations there wouldn’t be that many backers still waiting for them… :roll_eyes: )

Update June 4th 2020 (pimaxquorra)

  • pimaxquorra was not aware of the existence of the google sheet until today
  • he promised to forward it to the logisitic team
  • currently, all these base station deliveries are originated from HongKong warehouse.
  • he will ask the logisitic team to explain him “what’s going on with all these backers’ base station”
  • only info he has so far from logisitc team: “most of the parcel has been stucked at Shanghai airport and awaiting for the transit to their corresponding destination” (but we know many of us don’t even have a confirmation their shipment has been made).

This endless story of false promises about the base stations shipments is so unprofessional from you Pimax… :angry:

And you know this summary above is only about what happened in 2020, because those false promises have been running since 2018 when you were already claiming being “about to receive the base stations from valve” (Oct 2018 IIRC), then March 2019 you claimed you will start shipping them “very soon”, to finally receive them at the end of 2019 with a new promise to start shipping them in December/January…

We are a now in June 2020 and still many backers waiting for you to ship their base stations !!

This level of disrespect is unbelievable, especially when your best answer is to lock threads (like maybe this one too, if not just deleted…) to bury the complains of those many backers just asking you send them an item they have paid in 2017 and you were already promising to ship in 2018, then 2019, then 2020, but that is still not done after half of this year…

Thread purpose

So I encourage people to continue giving us news of their shipment status here and in the googlesheet as the lack of thread that was promised to solve all those shipment issues just shows once more the low priority level Pimax has assigned to solve those remaining shipments of backers base stations…

This thread is meant to keep the visibility of the base station shipment issue so this problem is not buried BUT QUICKLY SOLVED, and to let users inform each others about if pimax keeps proceeding to those shipments or not, and if yes at what speed. We have been waiting for WAY too long already. Adding another delay until Pimax deigns to open the promised specific thread is insulting and anyway doesn’t conflict with a thread with a different purpose of informing each others about our shipment status.

Good initiative to keep this alive despite the attempts to make this become less visible!

By the way, I have received my base stations in the meantime, see record for backer no. 3266 in the spreadsheet. But the spreadsheet clearly shows that it is still quite a number of users who are just being ignored by Pimax in favour of other customers for absolutely no good reason.

436 shipped in a week but claiming at the same time they cannot manage to get the backers their base stations within a time-frame of 2,5 years. I really am still lost for words, even a week later.

Yes, the only way aparently to receive them before they went AWOL again, like most things around here. I received mine in 11 days after paying the Express shipping.

I wonder if the warehouse transfer they have mentionned lastly means a shipment to their Marseille warehouse for people not wanting to pay the express shipping from HongKong, or if those will still be shipped directly from China as previously planned.

@PimaxQuorra can you tell us which warehouse is going to receive this base station transfer ? Is it Marseille and you will ship from there for people with the free shipping option ? Or if still shipped directly from China then when will this happen ? Doris doesn’t answer anymore.

I received mine back in January, so I apologize if there’s incorrect info out there.

However, I look forward to Pimax letting us know if they’re done yet or not, now that they closed ordering.

I placed my order back in October last year, (#4769 on the list) after Pimax finally sorted out their shipping costs on Plan F at $30. I didn’t get harassed to pay more than that, so I count myself very fortunate.

just an update on my index bundle.

my index bundle had been shipped out since 29th may.
just waiting on fedex to deliver that’s all. currently transit at Singapore.

I am just hoping that the base stations that I backed can be shipped with the 8k-X headset I backed. I’m not going to drop $179 + shipping for knuckles because I already have them from valve, and I just want my base stations to use my headset with =)

Since 08.05. still no other delivery Status. Tomorrow the 4 weeks are over and I do not have the Base Stations…

The last ticket update from Doris Zhang was on May 20th.
@PimaxQuorra told me 6 days ago that “we asked Emily to response on the ticket. She will be contact with your shortly”, but until now nothing happened - just full radio silence.
Very disappointing :frowning:

Fyi I haven’t add my info on the spreadsheet, but my basestations has been sent 8.5.2020 though still haven’t received them. Standard China post shipping (seems to be quite slow atm, also waiting a few other parcels ordered around the same time)

@neelrocker: yes, indeed, I paid for express shipping - I somehow hoped that would lift my chances from 0% to 20-30%, and it worked out.

Just a few days before me on the BS update then. Told a tracking number was getting sent.

Been 7 weeks since they went silent on my comfort kit and silicon order from the store, despite sending photographs of things in stock and ready to send. Ignoring all communication.

It seems theres a huge congestion in the Shanghai airport (backlash of the corona), my basestations has been stuck in there since 12.5.2020
Same thing with my Aliexpress orders.

I’m also waiting for the accessories order from November @jaysm
Heard that most of them are in fact being shipped, but suffering from the same issue.
Would like to have the tracking number though…

I don’t mind waiting if I am told of delays. I especially wouldn’t mind if it was actually shipped, with a tracking number in my hands and sitting in a depot. Pimax has met their responsibilities at that point.

I do not like being lied to, and it lowers the chance of me recommending Pimax to near zero, I have already steered one less hands-on computer user away from the ecosystem.

If you cannot send say so, but if you say you are going to send them then do it, lying is unacceptable. It burns bridges very quickly.

They’re probably selling them back to Valve at a huge profit. You can’t get them on their site. I can’t see any other reason why they would lie to then ignore me!!

Story Time:
I’ve created my Ticket 2nd of April 2020 asking the Pimax Support to get my Base Stations from my 8kX Full Package in advance. First I was asked to provide my personal information, then I was asked if I do not want to ‘upgrade’ to a Plan F. And then I was told that pimax don’t send the base stations in advance…

it took about 1-month playing message ping pong until the misunderstanding got clarified and I’ve got confirmation that I actually can get the base stations in advance…

But since 24 Days i am waitng now for a tracking code. I am Asking every week once if i can assist somehow or what is the case. Only to get the information one week ago that the Base Stations are out of stock right now and should be available this week again.

It’s a neverending Story. Pimax might have increase the response time for the tickets, but how does this help if it takes months until the actual reason for the ticket is being solved.

The only bright side: I don’t have to pay for the shipping (4-6 weeks slow method) and in case i have to pay any tax pimax will pay it back to me.
