this is why it’s brilliant for pimax to have a beta team with the kind of people they have in it
Well its been a few days now and as much as im liking the clarity it realy not vr more 3d , so back to the god rays for me and the original lens till me gets me pimax then im going to bury me vive in the garden and may it rest in piece
You guys look so far…I personally totally cool with 2K set as long as SDE minimal and no ghosting
Well good news the Lenovo is almost 3kish
28801600 or 14401600/eye
Rift/vive/psvr are 2kish
Absolutely! That’s great note. We the humans when we get something good as that we always want more, sometimes just settle and enjoy what you have and allow the next good thing come to you when it is ready…
Nobody else is improving the fov. This was the large draw for me.
Some are, although these are still in development like everybody else.
e.g. Oculus Research have been working on a varifocal HMD since 2016 that uses motorized lens for focus and a 140 FOV. They did a working demo recently but no idea how far off a consumer grade version is. As far as the media is concerned, Pimax appear to be the closest to an actual launch.
Well that’s in the eye of the beholder
Come on, 2019 is still closer than the Rift Mark II’s 2021 release date…
Well the Vive Pro came literally out of nowhere. It might happen again. Especially with great new panel tech becoming ready for mass production within the year now!
Ok. Given. Its a mixed reality set. But release is scheduled Q1 2019.
We could get a 130 fov headset anytime using valve lens
What do you mean by this ?
The existing lenses can be modded to get more fov ?
no the new lens that valve developed
Valve Headset Dev kit.
