UPDATED
Headstrap:
Going to replace it sooner rather than later, far too unforgiving for comfort/adjust-ability.
When HMD is not vice gripped to my head, the visual annoyances occur. (See below)
Face Cushion:
Could use slightly thicker cushion for glasses wearers.
IPD Dial:
No issues for my 64 range.
Adjustments between 60-72.

The extreme Super-sampling is not pratical, wanted to see the visuals.
Nothing became slide-showy though.

SteamVR Beta Super-sampling 500%
Super-sampling 3.0 and the virtual screen(s) size with >130.
Was very much possible to curve screens around me & have it looking acceptable.

Again, from distance, desktop text looked terrible on the static big screens, preferred environments where the screen(s) could be adjusted.

SteamVR Beta Super-sampling OFF
This is where the Pimax 4K really shows it’s strength.
The left & right digital screen? can be read easily without desire to get closer from default position,
The Pimax 8K can not be read as easily from default position.
The Oculus Rift CV1 looks terrible from default position.

Visual Annoyance:
Too much clarity has been lost. - This remains true without large amounts of Super-sampling to keep it at bay.
The environment really does move with me in the far peripheral when turning head and it’s hard to ignore/get use to. (See Headstrap)
This becomes more and more pronounced when increasing FOV. (See Headstrap)
Rainbow effect can make an appearance especially with white backgrounds.

Observed:
My setup uses the Vive Link Box for Bluetooth connection and Power Management works.
SteamVR wakes and sleeps the basestations.
Conclusion:
Pimax 8K vs Pimax 4K:
Headstrap without Headphones
Need Thicker Face Cushion to avoid glasses (even some eyelashes) collision with lenses
Huge Lenses (Sweetspot)
Worse Clarity
Much Better FOV
Increased Brightness
Better Colors
Vive Tracking Support (Standard)
Splurging on new components has become inevitable now…
Would like to see how Pimax handles the 8K X.
