Hi @PimaxVR, do you know when you’ll be able to release prices for the 8k and 5k? I got a bunch of people interested but they wanted to wait for the commercial release.
I’d like to stir them up more by sharing the release date and prices. Once the kickstarrer models start shipping and layman reviews start popping up, they’ll be chomping at the bit to get one.
Since they pledged not to sell a single retail unit until every Kickstarter pledger has gotten their rewards, I doubt they can guess the final retail release date this early. And until they have the final hardware design for all the parts, including lighthouses and controllers, they won’t be able to release a price either.
Having said that, they did say the Kickstarter pledge prices are the lowest prices the devices will ever be, so expect the final devices to be more expensive than the non-Earlybird prices.

It should have something to do even though we finished the shipping for all sponsors then, e.g. debugging, feedback and further software improvement, materials cost, market trend then, etc, so it’s little far to define the price at present. But then, the final CV price should be higher than Kickstarter rewards without doubt : )
