Pimax 5k plus with latest beta 111, avoid using steamvr and just pitool?

I read somewhere that it was possible to install this beta and then not have to launch steamvr for certain things.

edit: now i’m confused, which is the current latest beta, 111 or 121 etc?

I removed the non beta pitool then installed this latest beta.
When i go to the games page i still see the text below the game title that says launch steamvr to play etc.

What am I missing or was this just a myth?

Some content can launch without SteamVR.

Modify/Save this with an extension of .bat
