I feel our UK brethrenās pain. US backersā headsets are apparently all en route to or at the US warehouse by now, but even as one of the 1/7 SH backers, I havenāt yet received tracking. In fact, support graciously responded to my PM yesterday letting me know my 5K+ is still on its way to the overseas warehouse.
According to the data we have, my hmd was likely made on or around 12.26, so by the time it arrives, it will already be a month or more old.

Personally I would be surprised that it would really ship then since there are still a LOT of 5k+ backers who have not heard anything and even if things start moving quickly, 3 days seems unlikely.
I could believe that you might get it before many of the 8k backers though since we know that that has been delayed.
Iām sure we are all curious, though, to see what happens!

I will be v unhappy if preorders start getting their headsets before backers, especially when its the same headset.
Thatād be a kick into the nuts and not one of those pleasant kind

Be VERY careful how you interpret their statements.
No customs in europe because pimax send everything to UK so they pay customs themselves.
From UK to any of 29 shenghen EU zone, no customs
so it comes to uk firstā¦ i seeā¦ lets wait when it arrives you

This situation forces them to prioritize orders, regardless of the chronological order and commitments to complete the production at a certain time. During this period, a regular customer will be preferred over an occasional one and a customer seeking to order a large amount of products will be preferred over customers with smaller order volume. In addition, in Chinese culture, as in the Western one, the relationship with the customer plays a major role and is reflected in gifts, personal acquaintance, salutation and greeting letters, restaurant meetingsā¦ All these factors will be taken into account in the process of customer prioritization during the Chinese New Year.
TL;DR
The expectation is that if your headset if it is not already on the way to the overseas warehouse itās going to be tight. And my guess for 8kers would be that you can only hope that many of your fellows will jump ship and switch to the 5k+. Or you get lucky and are really low in the production order.

It looks like preorder guys get their headset before I get mine.

I can only theorize that maybe yours is already on the way and support isnāt able to communicate it properly. Anything else would be very chaotic ā¦

I agree and I can live with the wait. I have a hard time if I am constantly lied at. It is insulting and my inbox is full of lies. It is better to say I donāt know - let me get back to you instead of usless drivel.

It is often hard to communicate effectively when building the tower of Babel. Given time the expansion in the 
& 
will help 
the gaps of contention created by language & cultural differences. Only then will all have some level of acceptable correspondence in a prefered standard.
