my name is Roberto and I am new of this forum, nice to meet you.
I have a question about my latest purchase the “Pimax 4K VR”.
I have a setup on my pc with a grapich card with 6 HDMI output port, could I connect 6 Pimax 4K VR Headset to this G-card?
My intent it’s to stream the same video to all the 6 Pimax 4K VR HMD at the same time, so that 6 people can experience the same VR togheter, it is possible?
I have done it before with another headset that now it’s out of production.
It might be possible for purposes of video as in Video mode tge headset shows up as a monitor. I am not sure though if the pimax software would support it. I think with switching each headset to video mode independently might work to this end.
Now @Sjef is very knowledgeable and might know; but i think we may need to wait on support for an answer.
Hi, well if you just want to stream regular video (no SBS/180/360) I THINK it should work. Each HDMI port is just a monitor in ‘video mode’, so I don’t see any reason why this shouldn’t work. But you can forget about SteamVR of course.
Then again, I’m not 100% certain, I haven’t tried it, so don’t blame me i you’ve bought 6 HMD’s and for some reason it doesn’t work. But like said, I’d be surprised if it wouldn’t because windows just treats each HMD as monitor in video mode.
Hi @Portos1975, regarding connecting 6 Pimax 4K to the graphics card with 6 HDMI port, currently it cannot be supported by PImax VR. However, we will consider it and improve in this respect. Thank you!
Hi, as per the video mode, theoretically it is possible to connect 6 Pimax 4k to 6 HDMI output port. We will submit the request to our R&D department and will update you asap.
