Outlook 8KX Serials?

Are they random lottery? Is it possible to get an outlet 8KX with a 2076 serial? My friend ordered one and he got a 2073, I would like to order one but I want a 2076 because I would like to have stable 90Hz in native mode if possible.

Hello,

Both 8KX can enjoy stable 90Hz!
If the 90Hz is not working fine on the headset, it might be firmware glitches.

You should check Display Port signal in your GFX. Try different ports

Not 100% correct. I never got stable 90Hz on my old 2075 8KX on any fw version. Possibly due to my Gigabyte 3090…
Totally unusable unless I switch to lower refresh rate even with optic DP cable and checking all 3 DP ports

Hello,

Which fw versions you have tried before?

From what I recall certain Gigabyte cards seemed to have something different from the reference design and some users reported problems. I would need. to search but belueve there was topics here and on reddit (r/pimax)

My 2075 8kx won’t do 90Hz stable unless i use usb 3.x ports.

Hmm lets see what I have saved, dunno if it was the original filnames.
P2_RELEASE_8KX_M296
P2_8KX_M298_EngineerTest
P2_RELEASE_8KX_90HZ_Beta
currently on 2.1.255.299
All tried on all usb 3.0 ports on 2 X570 motherboards: Gigabyte Aourus X570 v1.0 master & Asus x570 Dark hero. Also tried with multiple powered USB hubs. Nothing helps.

Edit: Brain broken, not enough coffee.

Initial tests was on a Gigabyte 1080TI. I run a watercooled mod Asus TUF Gaming 3090 now. Same problems. Tested with original cable and now optical DP cable.

I have a 8KX 2075 model and must have been lucky…only problems I had were fixed with .299 firmware update…now using RTX 4090 and Pimax Client 1.9.0.8.02 and 6m DP optical cable…I do have it plugged into a USB 3.1 port…no problems with 90hz native…I had read lots of issues about the 90hz problems on folks headsets but never encountered any myself…again just lucky I guess…knock on wood or my head! Hello,

After consulting with our technical specialists, they have suggested that the issue could potentially be related to the compatibility of the card.
Additionally, we have received several reports indicating that the Gigabyte card may not be functioning optimally when used in conjunction with our headset.

Well my Asus TUF 3090 doesn’t work either. So I assume I am out of luck and my 8KX was build with marginal components. nothing much to do but keep going at 72Hz. Thanks for checking.

A new driver update has the potential to fix this issue. While this is not a certainty, updating the driver is a common solution for many issues related to device performance and functionality.

Hoping there will be new update available and our development team will be able to identify and resolve the issue. This will ensure that the product functions optimally and any potential problems are addressed.

I have a brand new 8KX serial 2076 I would trade for a 2075 for AMD compatibility if someone is interested. Purchased from a UK retailer a few weeks ago as a gamble trying for a 2075 unit. It’s still in the box only opened to see if I got lucky by checking the serial on the head band. Crapped out with the 2076. let me know if interested.

@DustyBritches I have a 2075 model ~1 month old-I would be willing to trade. But I am in the US-if you are in the UK shipping costs would probably not be worth it. Let me know

Think mine is a 2075 and I’m in the UK, I’ll check if you like

I’m in the US and the warranty is not valid for either headset if a trade occurs so it’s kind of moot anyway but thanks for the offer. Sad because it will now collect dust on my shelf as I simply refuse to buy Nvidia products for personal reasons (don’t ask why).
