Has anyone been able to extend the new fibre cable for the 8KX?
I can run the 8KX extended for both DP and USB3 beyond 20 meters (DP via optical extension and Lindy active DP 1.4 extender, USB also via optical extension and high end powered USB hubs in line) but swapping in the fibre cable shows no device found.
I made a post on the same issue a while back, haven’t found a solution yet
My unqualified guess would be that the converters build into the fiber cable plugs needs power to work, something that will not be available where two optic cables connect unless there’s some kind of powered connector?
edit: if the extender / repeater is powered then i’m not sure what the issue is.
